The amount of red tape, stigma and systematic prejudice out there is astounding. I have come to believe that this is to keep people closely aligned to the status quo, reliant and compliant little hamsters running on your wheel and feeding the machine! Over the years we’ve looked at Conkers, Container Homes, Sips panel homes, 3D printed homes and more.
They all have advantages and disadvantages in equal measure,
so what we did was to cherry pick from everything out there and eventually we came to realise that the best solution for maximum social impact is a village of purpose built modular homes and a whole raft of communal facilities to boot!
We then looked at lots of options and eventually settled on a manufacturing partner who already had BOPAS certification (meaning that the homes are guaranteed and expected to last at least sixty years, which makes them mortgageable). They had already designed and built a range of modular homes which were created to be fully compliant with UK minimum space standards and in terms of energy efficiency, far exceeded anything else we looked at.
The fit and finish of the units is completed to a very high standard
in fact I’m excited about moving in myself! Yes good lady and I (and a number of our team) are planning to be a part of the first community too! How’s that for a demonstration of belief in the project?
Our manufacturing partner already has finished projects in the UK and so we will soon be able to arrange viewings for THT holders.
If at any point you decide that this is no longer what you want, simply ask us to revoke your THT and we will issue a full refund.

Facilities
All of the wonderful ideas that you (our subscribers and supporters) have asked us for have been included in the design presented to you here.
To co-create a community, there needs to be interaction not isolation.
So from the central dome with a fire-pit inside, to the 56 large mural spaces to be painted by residents…
We’ve included space for a creche, kids play area, meeting rooms, study space, party/event space, an art studio, a shop and post office, a workshop and more. These facilities are all there for you and for the use of the whole community.
Whether you just want a quiet space to read inside one of the ‘mini dome’ meeting rooms, or you want to run a yoga class, business workshop or guided meditation. We’ve created space for that, as well as on site, en-suite, guest bedrooms, because we all need that extra bedroom or two sometimes.
We had so many wonderful suggestions that if we included them all, the site would have to be twice the size and that would impact the target sale price of under £100,000 entry level.
We have included the best range that we could within the smallest space possible. Yet still giving a real sense of freedom and open space for everybody.

That’s another important aspect of out Tiny Home Token, this enables THT holders to vote for wherever in the country you DO want to live.
We will begin searching for site B as soon as it becomes clear where there is the biggest need. The location with the most votes (by THT holders) will be where we begin looking for land and talking to local government.
Genuinely affordable homes are desperately needed across the country.
